High oxidation resistance is achieved by dysportionization and higher blackness by dimerization.(It is a method of obtaining modified resin applied to improve stability.By dimerizing the abietic acid, which is one of the main components of the resin, the number of double bonds is reduced.It can be polymerized in this way and high stability and oxidation resistance are provided.)
Compared with natural resins (Gum Rosins), it has a higher softening point, higher viscosity and much higher oxidation resistance, it is in solid form. High oxidation resistance is achieved by dysportionation. Higher blackness is achieved by dimerization.(It is a modified resin leding method applied to improve stability.By dimerizing the abietic acid, which is one of the main components of the resin, the number of double bonds is reduced.It can be polymerized in this way and high stability and oxidation resistance are provided.)
In addition, Modified Gum Rosins have a lower crystallization tendency.Colophon Resins tend to crystallize due to the acids they have structurally.These crystals are insoluble in water and alkaline.Crystallization in the product used negatively affects the viscosity and causes problems.Modified Colophon resins are very important with their non-crystallization properties.

Resins modified with double-base acid are obtained by using double-base acids. It aims to improve the chemical, physical and functional properties of resin.Double-base acid-modified resins are high melting grade resins with higher acidity than Colophon Resins.
